Learning Outcome: The learning outcome for this educational activity is to enhance the knowledge of the home health registered nurse, PTs, OTs, and other agency personnel/clinicians in the importance of OASIS scoring. This course explores the history of Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS), use of the OASIS guidance manual, general conventions, conventions specific to ADL/IADL items, new OASIS-E1 items, and updates to the OASIS instrument. Outcomes will be evidenced by the learner's self-reported achievement on the Provider-Directed Evaluation Tool.
Specific outcomes are:
- The learner will be able to explain the OASIS rules and conventions.
- The learner will be able to describe how to use the OASIS guidance manual.
- The learner will be able to identify changes in the OASIS-E1 data set beginning CY2025.
- The learner will be able to implement measures necessary to accurately complete OASIS items.
